This past week Stephen had the privilege to give the commencement address for the 8th grade Kodiak Middle School Class. This group of students was his first 6th grade class as a counselor. While he was extremely nervous he did an incredible job. The video clip was part of a story he told about his 8th grade girlfriend who ended up breaking up with him over the phone to his friend.
You may also notice that Stephen has short hair in the clip and picture as well. He had originally wanted to grow out his hair until August, but because of this speech he moved the day up.
Stephen also had his last day of school on Wednesday, so he is officially on summer break! So he has completed 3 years as a Kodiak Island Borough School District Counselor and 4th working with students. As we always say, time sure does fly by fast!
