Once returning to Kodiak from Nebraska the weather was still incredible. This was by far the nicest summer I can ever remember in Kodiak. So Stephen and I loaded up the boys and headed to a nearby island. It was already late so it wasn't going to be a long outing but it was well worth the late bedtime.
We had to stop by and say hello to a lone sea loin. Greyson thought it was pretty cool, but I of course was alittle unsure with how close we got to it in just a little skiff.
Greyson loves the boat. Love love loves it.
I kept trying to get him to look at the camera for a picture. He would just wave his hand at me and not look. Oh what a little boy.
What boat ride would be complete without a little puffin chasing.
We made it to our little island for a little time to play. Both boys walked right into the water, of course. For me I get so cold the second I step foot in, but for them it must have felt great.
This is the family picture of the year.
I am not a fan of dates, I never have been. I think Stephen and I have been on two since we've been married. But this was a perfect evening out for me. The boys loved it and so did Stephen and I. What an incredible blessing to have the opportunity to spend time together as a little family.
