Living in Kodiak is a wonderful adventure for us flat landers. We love the ocean, mountains and yes even the weather. Kodiak is a temperate rainforest so we can go weeks without sun and have lots and lots of rain.
Well friends at the Mission were getting married and had their wedding set for September on a beach on Woody Island. The morning of the wedding we all wondered if the location would be moved to a warmer, dryer location. But instead we loaded the very well dressed boys onto a boat and headed to Woody.
The boys really had a great time and stayed warm under their full armored suits.
I was a bit less excited especially when Landry had had it and started to cry. One of the drawbacks to an island wedding is you can't leave when you want. So Landry sang a beautiful cry to the ocean and other children on the beach.
Greyson did great until the end when he decided to test out the height of his not so tall boots and they filled with water.
Once we were finally home the rain stopped and the sky began to clear. But it's great to have these wonderful family memories.
